Apple fined for 900 000 euros!
Today, we received the news that the Lazio Regional Administrative Court confirmed the penalty applied to Apple for a total of 900 thousand euros for unfair trade practices related to the Apple Care service.
According to European law, all producers must offer at least 2 years of warranty on their devices for repair, replacement or refund and so on forth. Apple instead proposed a one year warranty with the option to subscribe to a wild sort of policy at the Apple Care to extend to others and 2 years warranty for the furniture and 3 years for Mac
So far there is nothing wrong except for the fact that this bill is paid. Obviously for us if a similar figure corresponds to a lifetime of work for peanuts that Apple will have no problem even if paid 900 thousand dollars less even if for a large company like Apple is not relevant is always money! This just because Apple did not want to give customers 2 years warranty!
Up to now the situation was this, but apparently something is going to change after this incident. Apple most likely to avoid further fines will extend the warranty to 2 years. The cost of the service Apple Apple Care is to decide on this and no rain and no law can fine Apple for a high cost but for the reduction of one-year warranty YES! To highlight the law and by law, any product if faulty must be replaced or repaired free of charge if you submit a valid proof of purchase for service within 2 years, another day it will one day less.
All products have passed the threshold of 2 years will be repaired or replaced at no charge as well as proof of purchase.
