Mac OS X: A new Trojan discovered

Until now the operating system Mac OS X have always been considered the most secure, or almost free from threats such as viruses, Trojans, malware and so on forth.
A well known company that specializes in antivirus and security systems Mac , reported to Apple that there is a trojan called Imuler.C able to infiltrate on users' systems, convincing them that the files you have downloaded an image but it is not. How does this threat? What is a Trojan? Here we go.
The new malware installs a backdoor in the / tmp / .mdworker leaving a process called automatically. Mdworker, to ensure that the malware is executed automatically when you start your Mac, file launchagent is installed in ~ / Library / LaunchAgents / checkvir.plist as well as an executable file in the same folder.
The malware collects the personal information of users and charge them on external servers, the precise make a screenshot of the information. For now it is not very common but as the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. The trojan for those who do not know is a file disguised as a threat, the name comes from Trojans' Odyssey, when Odysseus and his companions decided to hide inside a large wooden horse at Troy to enter unmolested.
